My Experience
I love portable technology—if you can put it in a pocket or a bag, I’m probably into it. I’ve covered phones and tablets of all shapes and sizes, and reviewed everything from game consoles to laptops in my decade-plus career. Prior to joining PCMag, I wrote articles for Android Authority, How-To Geek, MUO, New Atlas, Tom’s Hardware, and plenty of other tech publications.

The Technology I Use
I don’t claim loyalty to any operating system or brand. In this line of work, it’s important to feel comfortable with every company’s OS. That means I use devices with Android, iOS, macOS, watchOS, and Windows on a regular basis.
I switch between a MacBook and a Windows desktop as my primary computers. I currently use an iPhone 12 Pro Max as my personal phone, connected to an Apple Watch Series 4 (it’s a few years old, but it’s still ticking, so to speak). I also use a Samsung Galaxy Tab S5e as my main tablet. It’s not the best tablet on the market, but it’s mine and I love it.
While my primary phone runs iOS, I’m more of a Google user in terms of apps and services. I rely heavily on OneDrive and Google Photos to keep track of my cloud-based goodies. I have a Google Nest speaker in every room for controlling my smart home devices (including my air conditioners, light bulbs, and TV, just to name a few).
I love video games, and am equipped with a fairly high-end gaming PC, an Xbox Series X, a Switch, a PS4 (I haven’t been able to track down a PS5 yet), and my phone and tablet. If anything else runs games, I’m probably a fan.
